This study describes the status quo with regard to the demand and availability of recyclates. To this end, a two-scenario model is used to determine the demand for and availability of post-consumer recyclates up to the year 2030. The calculation is based on future legal requirements in the form of recycled content targets and market-related demand volumes in the individual sectors. The status quo is determined in detail for EU-27+3 (including Norway, Switzerland and UK). The data determined in both scenario models indicate supply gaps in the EU-27+3.
