Against the background of future recycling economy goals with high recycling rates, the BKV has commissioned an analysis of the plastics-relevant waste streams in Germany. In addition to identifying the relevant waste streams, the analysis provided in-depth knowledge of their composition. An estimation clarifies the orders of magnitude of both the total masses and the areas of application. As a result, waste streams that have not been used for mechanical recycling so far could be identified.
