How does improperly disposed plastic waste end up in the sea? What quantities are involved? These questions are answered by this model approach to the collection of land-based plastic waste with regard to its input paths into the oceans. BKV presents an overall picture for Germany, covering all discharges of plastic litter from Germany into the North Sea, the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea. For the first time, the input quantities into the input paths and sources are also shown. In addition, the report now also contains information on tire abrasion.
