Möllenstädt returns to GKV

As of 1 September, Dr Oliver Möllenstädt will once again take up the post of Chief Executive Officer at the Plastics Converters' Association.

On 1 January 2021, he had resigned from his post at the GKV Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie to make way for his successor Julia Große-Wilde, who has since left the association. Now the 44-year-old industrial engineer with a doctorate is returning to the Plastics Converters Association, where he already worked from 2011 to 2020 before moving to the Federal Association of Property Managers as Managing Director. On 1 September, he is to become GKV Chief Executive Officer again. With this decision, the executive board around the new president, Dr. Helen Fürst, is likely to hope for more calm and a return to factual work, as Kunststoff Information writes. After months of standstill, the association had recently experienced rather turbulent weeks marked by internal quarrels. Thus, President Fürst is also looking forward to Möllenstadt's return to the position of Chief Executive, who has many years of association and industry experience: "He will successfully help shape our important work around the transformation of plastics processing to a circular economy, the raw material and energy supply of our industry, the shortage of skilled workers and the image of plastic products," Fürst said.
