Revisa and Magdeburg University of Applied Sciences cooperate on D4R

The cooperation on Design4Recycling of packaging is intended to provide independent support to manufacturers in the assessment process.

Revisa Cycleproof GmbH from Neckarsulm and the Raw Materials Workshop working group at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences have set themselves the goal of offering responsible manufacturers professional support for the assessment of their packaging spectrum with regard to its recyclability. The special feature of the service is said to be that it is offered neutrally and independently of interests such as those of dual systems, as Euwid cites Revisa managing director Jörg Scheibel. Prof. Gilian Gerke (photo) from the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences brings scientific know-how to the project. According to Euwid, she explained about the cooperation that a binding assessment of packaging assortments according to minimum standards is not the end of the road, but the starting point for ecological optimization in the sense of a holistic "Circular Economy". After analyzing the recyclability of packaging, the partners want to design a roadmap for ecological optimization for their manufacturers and also accompany the implementation, involving not only technology but also the marketing of the respective company.
