Reifenhäuser inducted into the "Plastics Hall of Fame"

As one of ten major players in the industry worldwide, Ulrich Reifenhäuser has been honored with induction into the Plastics Hall of Fame.

Ulrich Reifenhäuser (64), Managing Director of the Reifenhäuser Group, Chairman of the Exhibitor Advisory Board of the plastics trade fair "K" and Chairman of the Plastics and Rubber Machinery Association within the VDMA, is a new member of the "Plastics Hall of Fame". With this appointment, which usually takes place every three years and is usually held as part of the largest American plastics trade show, NPE, the U.S. Plastics Industry Association aims to honor individuals who have made a special contribution to the success of the plastics industry internationally. Commenting on his appointment, Reifenhäuser says: "I accept the honor of being a member of the Plastics Hall of Fame with pleasure and pride. It comes at a turning point in our industry, which is perhaps in the most exciting phase since the invention of plastics. Whereas in the past the focus was on material performance and cost, today recyclability and a holistically conceived circular economy are the defining issues. We will use this change as an opportunity: With its low weight, high functionality and recyclability, plastic brings all the characteristics to make a decisive contribution toward climate neutrality."
