Engelmann takes over from Dr. Jürgen Bruder, the former Managing Director of the German IK, who retires after more than 28 years of association work at the Industrievereinigung. His successor, Engelmann, is a lawyer and has headed the Association of the German Paint and Printing Ink Industry (VdL) since 2015. According to the IK, Engelmann will take up his new duties at the IK by 1 December 2019 at the latest.
"We are delighted to have found in Dr. Martin Engelmann an experienced managing director," explains IK President Roland Straßburger. "The challenges facing our industry require strategic foresight, firm networks and strong communication. The prerequisites for a successful handover of the baton were created by the previous main management and so we wish Dr. Engelmann the very best of success already today".
