At the beginning of July, the ZSVR published the updated catalog for packaging that must be licensed.
The "Catalog of Packaging Subject to System Participation" includes 37 product groups with 506 individual products in the edition updated in terms of content and editing, Euwid reports. There have been changes, for example, due to the extended mandatory deposit on further disposable beverage packaging that has been in effect since the beginning of the year. In the new edition of the catalog, ZSVR has reportedly pointed out the mandatory deposit on the product sheets for these beverages. The transition period, under which beverage containers previously placed on the market in Germany could still be dispensed without charging a deposit from Jan. 1, 2022, to July 1, 2022, has now expired. Corresponding references have been removed from the catalog, according to ZSVR. Other changes in the catalog relate to packaging for products from the food handcraft, the "white goods" and "DIY and garden" product groups. To the latter, new product sheets and products were added to the detailed information.
