NABU waste expert moves to BDE

Sascha Roth is to deal with food waste and electrical waste, among other things, at the German waste management association BDE.

The political science graduate has worked for various NGOs, most recently as an environmental policy officer at the German Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU). According to the Federal Association of the German Waste Management, Water and Raw Materials Industry (BDE), he will now be responsible for the material flows of biological and food waste as well as electrical waste as head of department. His job will also include water issues and digitalization in the environmental service branch. BDE President Peter Kurth is pleased about the reinforcement. He has known and appreciated Sascha Roth for years from discussions on legislative initiatives: "We judge many issues identically. Everyone benefits from a step from a ready for cooperation and goal-oriented NGO like NABU to a business association like BDE," Kurth said.
