According to PlasticsEurope, Foerster will leave the Brussels-based organisation on 1 September 2019. The step would be made for personal reasons and by mutual agreement. The Management Board thanked Foerster for his impressive achievements over the past six years. His work would have made a decisive contribution to the development and success of the organisation. Under his leadership, several reforms were carried out and new members were recruited. According to Javier Constante, President of PlasticsEurope, one of his many achievements was the creation of the voluntary commitment 'Plastics 2030', which became part of the European Commission's plastics strategy. His key role in the creation of the World Plastics Council was also highlighted. The Executive Director of PlasticsEurope, who will remain in office until September, thanked the staff and members of PlasticsEurope for their excellent cooperation.
