Interzero: Interim CEO for plastics recycling

At the beginning of April, Jan Kroker took over interim leadership of the Plastics Recycling (IPR) division at environmental services provider Interzero.

The previous CEO, Florian Werner, left the company by mutual agreement, according to Interzero. Chairman and shareholder of Interzero, Dr. Axel Schweitzer, and the Interzero management team thanked Florian Werner for his commitment. In his role as interim CEO, his successor Kroker will support the IPR management team during a phase of strategic and organizational development. On a permanent basis, Kroker is to lead the company's battery recycling business, which is currently being established. Kroker, who previously worked as director of site management and deputy managing director for BASF Polyurethanes GmbH in Lemförde, began his career as an officer in the German armed forces and later moved into business. There he took on management roles, for example, at KCA Deutag in the oilfield service industry and in the chemical industry at BASF Management Consulting, a global in-house management consultancy of BASF. Interzero is a service provider for all aspects of closing product, material and logistics loops and sees itself as an innovation leader in plastics recycling with the largest sorting capacity in Europe. With around 2,000 employees, the company generates sales of over one billion euros (2021).
