Fakuma: Panel discussion on recyclates on TecPart’s ‘Blue Carpet’
At the start of Fakuma on 12 October 2026, a TecPart panel discussion will focus on recyclates.
The 30th Fakuma will take place in Friedrichshafen from 12 to 16 October 2026. The TecPart Verband Technische Kunststoff-Produkte (Association for Technical Plastic Products), which will once again be represented at Fakuma with a large joint stand (Hall A5, stands A5-5104, A5-5105 and A5-5106), is organising the ‘Blue Carpet’ – a discussion forum in German on current industry topics – in Friedrichshafen on 12 October 2026 to coincide with the trade fair. According to the information provided, the venue is ‘Mikado Friedrichshafen’, right next to the exhibition centre. TecPart is inviting attendees there on the first evening of the fair for a keynote speech followed by a panel discussion. According to the information provided, the event will take place from 6.00 pm in the Mikado Genussraum. At 6.30 pm, a keynote speech will be given by Dr Ingo Sartorius, Managing Director of BKV GmbH. He will address the requirements that the EU Packaging Directive (PPWR) and the forthcoming EU End-of-Life Vehicles Regulation (ELV-R) will place on the industry regarding the use of recycled materials, and how competition for suitable recyclates for automotive, electrical and other applications is set to develop. Following this, TecPart Managing Director Michael Weigelt, Wolfgang Ringel, Senior Vice President of Governmental Affairs at technology provider TOMRA, and Dr Sartorius will take part in a panel discussion on availability of recyclates, demand and the implications for plastics processing.
