Change in the Chief Financial Officer at Borealis

Daniel Turnheim will succeed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Mark J. S. Tonkens on June 1.

 

According to Borealis, the current Chief Financial Officer Tonkens will leave the Executive Board by mutual agreement on May 31. As his successor, Borealis' Supervisory Board has appointed Daniel Turnheim, effective June 1, 2023. As the new CFO, Turnheim has been appointed for three years with an option to extend for a further two years by mutual agreement. The forty-eight-year-old economist has worked in senior finance roles at the OMV Group since 2002, including as Head of Controlling at OMV UK in London and for two years at Petrol Ofisi in Istanbul. From 2011 to 2012, Turnheim was CFO at OMV Petrom in Bucharest, Romania. He currently serves as Senior Vice President Finance & Tax at OMV AG. "I am delighted that we have been able to bring such a highly experienced finance expert as Daniel Turnheim to the Executive Board of Borealis. I would like to extend a warm welcome to Daniel and look forward to our close collaboration to implement the Borealis Strategy 2030.
