BellandVision expands market leadership

The company has gained another 1.7 percent share in lightweight packaging (LVP) compared to January 2022.

At the end of January, the Central Packaging Register Office (ZSVR) published the preliminary market shares of the dual systems for the first quarter of 2023. According to the figures, the system operator BellandVision, headquartered in Pegnitz, was able to further expand its market share in Germany. The company, which has belonged to the French waste management company Veolia since 2022, was already number one in LVP. Compared to the same quarter last year, BellandVision increased its share by 1.7 percentage points to 22.39 percent. As in 2022, according to the ZSVR figures, Duales System Holding with the "Green Dot" was in second place. For LVP, the ZSVR recorded an increase of 1.91 percentage points to 19.15 percent for the Cologne-based company. Third place was taken by PreZero Dual, Neckarsulm, which lost 0.64 percentage points compared with the previous year and now has a share of 14.88 percent of LVP. Berlin-based Interzero+ is currently in fourth place with 12.39 percent and its competitor Reclay from Herborn is in fifth place with 12.03 percent. The industry information service Kunststoff Information (KI) attributes the swapping of places between the two companies in the first quarter of 2022 to the fact that the two discounters Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd have been handling the licensing of their private label packaging through Interzero+ since January 2022.
