The industry meeting organised by the bvse will take place in Dresden from 11 to 12 June 2024. The BKV is once again offering a workshop.

"Plastics recycling is climate protection" is the headline of this year's International Conference on the recycling of Plastics and, according to the organisers - the bvse Federal Association for Secondary Raw Materials and Waste Management - is intended to highlight the special sustainability made possible by plastics recycling. Another focus will be on the many legal changes that companies in the industry have to adapt to. In addition, the focus will be on the prospects for innovation and forward-looking plastics recycling.
 
The event will be held at the Maritim Hotel & International Congress Centre in Dresden. Once again this year, visitors can look forward to current and controversial topics: After the Central Forum on "Plastics recycling is climate protection", Workshop A "Legal reorganisation of plastics recycling" will take place. At the same time, the BKV is offering two sessions in Workshop B on the topics of "Is there enough waste for the provision of recyclates?" and "Which waste fractions can still contribute to high-quality recycling?". Stakeholders from industry, science and representatives from authorities such as the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) will be involved with short presentations and as guests in the subsequent panel discussions. A barbecue will take place in the evening following the content-related part of the programme. On both days of the industry meeting, participants can visit a product exhibition and an exhibitor area. On the second day of the event, 12 June, there will be a forum with short presentations by exhibitors followed by a Q&A session, as well as the third workshop "Plastic product design in interdisciplinary dialogue, packaging as an example".
